TargetedResponse
TargetedResponse project will implement a novel person-centered approach based on functional diagnostics to determine the optimal treatment strategy for Serbian non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) patients.
This approach combines the treatment response of patient-derived cancer cells with their genetic profile.
Genetic Biomarkers Testing
Treatment of Patient-Derived Cells
Objectives
- To provide the evidence of additional NSCLC molecular biomarkers that should be implemented in clinical diagnostics in order to make optimal choice of targeted therapy for Serbian NSCLC patients
- To establish short-termed patient-derived NSCLC cell cultures and optimize the methodology for functional diagnostics
- To determine additional TKIs not routinely given to Serbian NSCLC patients which are reasonable to make available and reimbursable in Serbia
- To raise the awareness of the importance, significance and benefits of the functional diagnostics implementation for the smart choice of molecular markers and targeted therapy in Serbia based on TargetedResponse results as well as to foster collaboration between research and clinical centers in Serbia.
